{Steinbach Photograper} Welcome Baby L!

Little Miss L slept quite lightly through most of her session, doing regular wake-ups to nurse and make sure we knew she wasnt impressed with a few of the poses.
She rewarded our patience during the last color set with one of the best smiles I've ever been able to capture.  She really is a doll!  Congratulations to this wonderful family - I loved seeing you all again!

{Steinbach Photographer} Miss A is ONE!

I love the variety in this session!  Sun bonnets, lace rompers, pokemon, cars, and planes!  It was so much fun to see her play with all the different things! And I adore how you can see her make the plane engine noises! How CUTE?!

{Steinbach Photograper} Updating Gramma's Wall

I love when clients come for photos of their kids to update Gramma's wall.  I think it's so special! (but I do urge them to print for their own walls too!)
In this case, the family was moving away for a period and wanted to make sure Gramma had the most recent photos in the meantime.  I was happy I could help :)

{Steinbach Photographer} Mrs. D is having a baby!

My kids have both been lucky enough to have Mrs. D as their teacher for at least one subject.  And actually, my 8th grader was hugely disappointed she will be on Maternity Leave this year and his chance to be in her home room was gone.  I think it speaks volumes about a person when a teenager is disappointed you wont be in school
Her maternity session was fun and beautiful - very much like the person she is. And we beat the downpour of rain by minutes!
I cant wait to meet the sweet baby she's carrying!

{Steinbach Photographer} ROCK STARS!

If you know this amazing family, I dont need to explain my title to you.  If you dont - let me give you ONE word to clue you in.  Triplets.
Yep, this is the family who allowed me to photograph their newborn triplets 2 years ago.  I've received a lot of work from being allowed to showcase those photos, and I'll always be grateful to them for it.
It's not uncommon for me to meet cool parents in my work. Like, seriously chill about everything.  One two year old, or 2 kids a few years apart in age is common and it seems society has it figured out for the most part.
Triple that 2 year old age and my guess would be it gets a little bit crazy for even the most relaxed of parents.  Yet, these two are the coolest parents I've ever had the pleasure of working with, regardless of having triplets.  Everything is met with a laugh, a shrug, and a 'it's ok, this is just how it'll be for now' attitude.  And, in my opinion, it's because of that amazing attitude that photos go so well with them.  They are rock-star parents in my book.

As I do sometimes, I brought my teen boys along to help out on this session.  It was summer holidays and they were both available. Usually they carry the furniture pieces around, load and unload my car, and be a second set of hands holding reflectors etc.
This time they helped entertain a 4 year old, and watch 2 year old triplets so I could safely get some shots of Mom and Dad, and they evened out the number of big people with capable hands to take photos safely on a bridge (because I dont include myself when I cant be near).  Both of my boys commented to me after the session that hanging out with the kids was awesome! My oldest loved that the boy of the trio raised his arms several times asking to be picked up, and mr 4-year-old held my younger son's hand whenever he could.  My heart melted seeing it.

The girls were quite shy of me, and unsure of what we were doing, but thanks to Dad and big brother, we managed to get at least a few smiles. <3

{Steinbach Photographer} Gingas Family

I have come to consider this family my friends.  I love meeting and catching up with them between seeing them for photos - and when I do see them for photos, it's always a lot of fun.  I've been lucky enough to have 3 years worth of photos with them, from first birthdays, family sessions, birth announcements, and newborn.
Thanks for putting up with the mosquitoes for this session! I hope all the bites healed quickly! ;)
