Happy Easter!

Unfortunately, my studio is pulled apart right now, so I'm not shooting a whole lot (I hope to be back in there by next month)... but this little guy was just too cute to pass up an opportunity to do a Mini-Easter session!  I am so thankful to his parents (and sisters;) for letting me shoot these at their house!

Chantale's Baby Bump

I met Chantale in a kickboxing class in summer.  If I count the months back correctly, I think she had been expecting the entire time I've known her, and yet has lasted longer in the class than I have!  LOL!  She is one tough cookie!  I will definitely be going back myself after my break to heal up some sore muscles, but I'm SUPER impressed that she's kept going through her whole pregnancy!
When she asked me to do Maternity pictures for her, I was absolutely thrilled!  What an honor! She and her husband, Evan, came to my studio this past week, and I was able to capture some gorgeous memories of this beautiful time in their lives for them.

Baby Madison

I think these photos will speak for themselves, Madison is SO cute!!  I was so happy to meet her and capture all this 'newborn cuteness' for Mom and Dad!

Fehr Family

This beautiful family was pretty brave!  It was quite the cold day, with a windchill that made it feel even worse, but they look so calm and relaxed in the outdoor photo you really cant tell.
 

The boys were so cute in the studio, although it was hard to sit still for the older brother.  I'm glad Mom and Dad were okay with me bribing him with some candy! I definitely got the shots I wanted, all the while thinking these boys walked right off an GAP ad!  Talk about gorgeouse kids!

Becca's Maternity Shoot

 I have to say that I am in awe of these GORGEOUS women expecting babies!
Becca was SO much fun to work with!  She was totally willing to try anything - which meant laying on her back for extended periods of time, crouching, sitting, and even going outside in the snow! (I might add it was during a storm too!) which I'll remind you (yet again) is no easy feat when you're pregnant!
She arrived with her little family, and an entire laundry basket of props, changes of clothes, shoes, and her laptop to show me some pose ideas she had researched and liked.  Did I already mention how much fun we had?!  I adore shoots like this!!
Although some of her poses were definitely private, there were so many others that I had a hard time choosing what to put here on my blog...this is honestly a fraction of what we did!  She definitely rocked the bump! ;)
I cant wait to meet her new little guy and photograph him as well in a few months!

Baby Masyn

What a happy and fun little guy to work with! He did SO well for his 7 month session.  Adding some Christmas props was a lot of fun too, and SO cute!  He really loved watching himself in the Christmas balls,  banging his hands down on them to hear the smacking sounds, and then watching them roll away.  He was absolutely darling!!

Beautiful Belly

There is something so beautiful about a pregnant woman.  The life growing inside of her is so precious and unique.  I really want to capture that in my Maternity sessions.

It's been a long while since I've done a Maternity shoot, and I'll admit publicly now (after the fact, before it was just a friend and my hubby who got to hear it) that I was pretty nervous.  I desperately wanted to give Bethany my absolute best work so she could cherish these photos forever.

God definitely heard my prayer and I am thrilled with how these turned out.

Bethany arrived looking like she had just stepped off the cover of a magazine and was so easy to work with.  She was willing to get up and sit down a million times for me (which is no easy task in the third trimester!) without a word of complaint.  She is SO gorgeous, inside and out.  Her beautiful family was amazing to photograph, and that little life inside her is so blessed to be joining them soon!
